Who is K. Ashley Dickson?!?

Picture
Ashley is a dedicated educator who has spent the last decade teaching in three states and on two continents. When she is not grading compositions or reading books, she is probably either humoring her perpetually crabby husband, crafting a clever pun, or walking her beloved hound, Ginger, on the Appalachian trail or most likely just around the block...

Above all, Ashley believes that effective communication is what brings us together as human beings. This can take the form of a page-turning-post-apocalyptic zombie novel or a well-crafted senior essay. Teaching, for Ashley, is an opportunity to share the richness of effective communication and literature with students so that they can learn to read, analyze, and think critically about the world around them.

(Just so you know, her ill-humored husband stole her computer to write this. He also likes to micro-manage things and is the one who insisted that an "About Me" page was a necessity.)
